Saudi Fund Support $32.7M Expansion at Jakarta State University

Jakarta: CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development, Sultan Al-Marshad, attended the inauguration ceremony marking the launch of the second phase of Jakarta State University's development and modernization project.

The ambitious initiative, valued at $32.7 million, aims to significantly enhance the university’s infrastructure through the construction of four 10-storey academic buildings, a grand mosque, and a dedicated social development center.

According to a post shared by the Saudi Fund for Development on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, the event was also attended by Indonesian Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Brian Yuliarto, alongside Saudi Ambassador to Indonesia Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Amoudi.

This project underscores Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to supporting educational and social development initiatives in friendly nations, and further strengthens the bilateral ties between Riyadh and Jakarta through impactful investments in Indonesia’s academic future.
